Job summary

GTC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for aerospace and defense parts, offering first/second shift and a 25% night shift differential. The role focuses on inspecting a wide range of components to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications before leaving the floor.

You will use CMMs, micrometers, sine bars, and other precision tools, read engineering drawings, and prepare clear inspection reports to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment – aerospace or defense preferred.
• Vision exam (Jaeger 1 at 12" with corrective lenses and the Ishihara test) is required annually.
• Strong problem-solving, methodical approach, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect castings, forgings, fabrications, assemblies and machined parts to verify conformance to blueprints and specifications.
• Read and analyze engineering drawings, compute dimensions and document inspection results.
• Identify root causes of defects and contribute to process improvements.
