Job summary

Moog Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join the Space and Defense team.

You will perform visual and dimensional inspections of space electronic assemblies and components, verify compliance with drawings and travelers, and document results with controlled records. You will work on-site on a 9/80 schedule, report to the Site Quality Manager, and contribute to nonconformance resolution, training material, and on-site customer inspections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred with ability to read and follow work instructions.
• 5+ years of electronics quality inspector experience with blueprints/drawings interpretation.
• GD&T knowledge and certification preferred.
• Experience using measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.
• Experience with reading drawings/blueprints and inspection of electronics and mechanical parts.
• Proficient with basic computer programs (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of space electronic assemblies and components.
• Become NASA 8739 or IPC J-Std certification.
• Use inspection equipment (surface plates, calipers, micrometers, gauges, AOI, DMM, microscope).
• Interpret ANSI Y14.5 GD&T and apply to inspections.
• Follow standard work and suggest process improvements.
• Review drawings and travelers; support non-conforming disposition.
• Generate training materials and internal improvement methods.
• Create inspection reports and non-conformances in internal tools (TipQA).
• Support on-site customer inspections and determine non-conformances.
