Job summary
Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Tactical Purchasing Manager (Finance) in California to lead a team of Buyers/Planners in a regulated aerospace environment, ensuring FAR/DFARS compliance and strategic supplier negotiations to secure cost, quality, delivery and risk mitigation.
You will collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, Finance and Quality, develop procurement strategy, monitor KPIs, and coach staff while driving continuous improvements in supplier performance and process
Qualifications
- Eight or more years in purchasing and/or government procurement.
- Experience leading people in purchasing.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS compliance and export controls.
- Ability to obtain security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Buyer/Planners to achieve KPIs.
- Conduct training and performance reviews.
- Develop Purchasing budget and mitigate risk.
- Review Requisitions/Orders for FAR/DFARS compliance.
- Lead negotiation strategies with suppliers.
- Coordinate with Program, Operations, Engineering, Finance and Compliance.
- Develop procurement strategy and strategic initiatives.
- Escalate pricing, delivery and lead time issues.
- Guide source selections for compliant awards.
- Own KPI to evaluate supplier performance.
- Lead quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.
- Drive process improvement initiatives.
