Job summary

Skyeton Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer/Purchaser to support sourcing of materials for advanced unmanned aircraft systems. The role focuses on timely procurement at competitive prices to support production and inventory targets.

The ideal candidate will have experience buying electronic components, machined parts, composites, aerospace hardware, and production materials in a fast-paced startup environment that values initiative and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent purchasing experience.
3+ years in purchasing/procurement in manufacturing.
Experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing environments.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, supplier management, and production planning.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Procure raw materials, components, tooling, and production supplies to support manufacturing operations.
Create, issue, and manage purchase orders per policies.
Monitor supplier acknowledgments, delivery schedules, and open POs for on-time delivery.
Expedite critical materials to minimize production disruptions.
Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms.
Identify and qualify new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and supply continuity.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Program Management.
