Job summary

Onboard Systems International is seeking a Project Engineer in Vancouver, WA, to support rotorcraft lift equipment development and certification. You will manage schedules, perform mechanical and electrical design, and ensure products meet FAA and OEM requirements.

The role requires 5–10 years of aerospace experience, a engineering degree, and strong CAD/DFM/GD&T skills. Travel may be required, with a competitive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years aerospace experience
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Experience with CAD, DFM and GD&T practices

Responsibilities

• Design, test, certify and manufacture electromechanical assemblies for rotorcraft lift equipment
• Manage project schedules and resources
• Prepare FAA- and OEM-compliant documentation, including certification plans and test reports
• Document qualification testing on-site and at external facilities
• Lead engineering-to-production transfer for sustained manufacturing
• Maintain complex project schedules using MS Project or similar tools
• Travel periodically to support project activities
