Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation in Shelbyville, KY, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering initiatives from concept through production approval. You will partner with operations, quality, and suppliers to drive safety, quality, and cost improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on engineering leadership, experience with ISO/AS standards, and the ability to travel up to 20% for launches and engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience with engineering project management or new product launches.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, and high-volume production.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle engineering initiatives from concept to production approval.
• Define project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Track performance to ensure on-time, on-scope, on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, safety, supply chain, and vendors.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during launches and production.
• Coordinate customer prints, tolerances, GD&T, and product requirements.
• Plan BOMs, process routings, work instructions, setup documentation, packaging.
• Estimate cost and technical requirements for new business opportunities.
• Travel to support project launches and supplier engagement (up to 20%).
