Job summary

Metis Technology Solutions, Inc. seeks a senior Software Engineer to support aeronautics programs for NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. Develop and maintain management planning tools and train users to enable effective decision making.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software engineering experience, strong data analysis and integration skills, and proficiency with SQL databases, Excel, PowerPoint, and web technologies. U.S. citizenship or a clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with lifecycle management, data analysis, and data integration.
• Proficiency with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and query optimization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
• Experience in web server technologies and web-based application development.
• Strong written and verbal communication for presenting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain management planning tools (dashboards, charts, presentations).
• Provide technical solutions aligning with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with management, analysts, and stakeholders for reliable tools and insights.
• Deliver training on tools as needed.
