Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program (or will have by December 2026).
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Experience designing mechanical/electrical/hydraulic test systems.
• Experience assembling mechanical/electrical/hydraulic test systems.
• Experience working with mechanical/electrical/hydraulic test systems.
• Experience working with computer systems.
• Experience installing and working with instrumentation and test equipment.
• Ability to work from drawings and schematics.
• Ability to design and fabricate items required with minimal oversight.
• Experience working with various hand, power and machine shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, fabricate, assemble, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment (hydraulic, electrical and computer-based).
• Perform tests using electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
• Support commissioning of new test equipment.
• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, written and/or verbal instructions.
• Operate related equipment.
• Analyze data to verify instrumentation function upon installation.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks, planning, modifications, and replacements as needed.
• Work in a team environment and independently with minimal oversight.
• Handle potentially hazardous equipment and activities safely according to policy.
