Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an experienced production supervisor for the United Rotorcraft Division, overseeing machining, assembly, wiring, composites, upholstery, paint, and aircraft maintenance. You will manage manpower, capacity, and schedule integrity while coordinating with Program Management, Quality, and Engineering.

The role requires an AA/AS or equivalent with five years of related experience and FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent with five years related experience.
• Five years of trade or vocational training required.
• Experience with manufacturing and production processes.
• FAA Repair Station supervisory experience desired.
• Experience with aerospace and DoD programs highly desired.
• Experience on Bell Helicopters, Airbus and MD Helicopters preferred.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft painting helpful.

Responsibilities

• Reviews manpower and capacity requirements.
• Defines and coordinates department requirements based on workload and schedules.
• Coordinates and prioritizes workflow based on schedule commitments.
• Strong emphasis on schedule integrity and LEAN manufacturing processes.
• Initiates activities associated with personnel status changes.
• Ensures that direct reports are adequately trained and capable of performing their duties.
• Ensures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Participates in weekly production and program status meetings.
• Provides estimates for proposals.
• Coordinates and communicates with other departments including Program Management, Quality, and Engineering.
• Other Duties as assigned.
• Regular scheduled attendance.
• Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling 1%.
