SEKISUI Aerospace, Inc is seeking a Laminator in Renton, WA to manufacture high-quality composite aerospace parts. You will lay up materials, verify documentation, and follow standard work instructions to ensure parts meet exact specifications.

Ideal candidates have hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs in a fast-paced environment. The role offers a Fri–Sun schedule and competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lay-up composite materials on mandrels according to the plan and SWI; wrap mold with materials for curing.

• Verify materials against the manufacturing plan and correct part IDs.
• Sign off on work performed and maintain schedule adherence.
• Follow takt time and production requirements.

What You'll Do

As a Laminator, you'll help manufacture high-quality composite aerospace parts by performing a variety of techniques to laminate composite components according to drawings and Standard Work Instruction (SWI).

Responsibilities Include

• Lay-up composite materials on mandrels according to the manufacturing plan and standard work instructions (SWI); wrap mold with composite materials, in preparation for curing process, to form composite parts.
• Check for accuracy in all prior documentation of manufacturing planning; reporting all discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor.
• Verify materials being used are according to manufacturing plan.
• Verify part ID tag and sign off on work performed.
• Adhere to schedules and time allowances, takt time, for production requirements.

Working Conditions

While performing the typical duties of this job, employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.

• Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
• Exposure to hazardous equipment
• Exposure to contaminants
• Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled
• Shared workspaces with other employees
• Requires handling objects of up to 30 lbs.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
• Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime)

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee’s position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.
