Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in La Porte, Indiana seeks a Product Engineer to ensure the dimensional integrity of a portfolio of investment-cast parts and to lead tooling design and qualification efforts.

You will also participate in process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve manufacturing efficiency, working with cross-functional teams to meet customer specifications and aerospace industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3 years' work experience in an engineering role (co-op or internship acceptable).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dimensional integrity of an assigned portfolio of investment cast parts.
• Design and acquire tooling, fixtures, gauges, and dimensional inspection plans.
• Lead continuous improvement activities to reduce cost, scrap, and rework while improving efficiency.
