Job summary

Advanced Ground Systems Engineering (AGSE) is seeking a Product Development Engineer to design and develop ground support equipment for aerospace leaders. You will create technical design packages, perform stress/deflection analyses, and generate production drawings, while ensuring fit and function to meet customer requirements.

You will also draft test procedures, compliance reports, and maintenance manuals, collaborate with Sales/PM/Production, conduct product testing, and provide field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Solid foundation in mechanical drafting and design analysis (stress, deflection, dynamics).
• Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD CAD software.
• Understanding of steel fabrication practices and industry standards.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• A hands-on approach to solving problems and innovative design mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complete technical design packages including layouts, stress/deflection calculations, and production drawings.
• Write and check supporting engineering documentation such as test procedures, compliance reports, and maintenance manuals.
• Ensure fit, form, and function of designs per customer and internal requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Production to solve challenges and deliver products.
• Conduct and document product testing.
• Support production, QA, and customers with troubleshooting and post-delivery updates.
• Provide occasional field support and onsite customer visits.
