Job summary

Parker Aerospace, a Parker Hannifin segment, offers a Product Design Engineering Co-Op to develop hands-on design and manufacturing skills. You will work with senior engineers and customers on aerospace tooling, design analysis, and cost estimation, preparing you for a future engineering career.

You will gain experience with ANSYS and CATIA V, participate in lean initiatives, and contribute to projects that support aircraft systems and components.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication/presentation skills.

• Personal Computer Skills including MS Office, E-mail, and the Internet.
• Mobility to allow internal access to all Engineering departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and administer projects as requested by senior level engineers and Engineering supervision.
• Research, design, and implement tooling & products regarding divisional Engineering initiatives and customer requirements.
• Improve process capability, productivity and efficiencies through research, design, and manufacturing of products.
• Research and help maintain routings and bill of materials for product.
• Review and interpret drawings, tooling prints, and marking data.
• Learn new technologies in design and development of aerospace products (e.g., ANSYS, CATIA V).
• Assist with research, design and product costing for customer quotes.
• Generate engineering reports using computer systems.
• Submit cost-saving ideas to improve manufacturing methods.
• Support other related duties to foster learning and engineering development.
