Job summary

Astro Mechanica is seeking an organized Procurement Associate to support fast-paced hardware development. You will coordinate parts, materials, and services for prototyping, testing, propulsion, and manufacturing teams, ensuring timely delivery and strong supplier relationships.

You will chase suppliers, manage dozens of open threads, and implement lightweight systems to prevent any parts from falling through the cracks in a dynamic startup setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or vendor coordination in hardware environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify procurement needs across engineering, prototyping, testing, propulsion, and manufacturing.
• Manage vendor outreach, quoting, orders, tracking, and receipt of parts and services.
• Source machined components, hardware, tooling, lab supplies, and other materials for fast-moving teams.
• Maintain supplier relationships and ensure on-time delivery through regular check-ins.
• Create and maintain procurement trackers for RFQs, quotes, POs, and deliveries.
• Clarify requirements, drawings, and delivery priorities with engineering and manufacturing.
