Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Procurement Buyer II to manage and execute procurement activities with FAR/DFAR compliance. The role is hybrid after a 90-day intro period, reporting to the Procurement Manager, and supports supplier relationships and cost-effective procurement solutions.

You will report directly to our Procurement Manager and work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid schedule after the initial 90‑day period, contributing to efficient supply chain

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, planning and/or supply chain functions demonstrating strong supplier management and process adherence & improvement skills.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier contracts effectively.
• Proficiency with procurement software and tools to manage purchasing activities and data analysis effectively.
• Understanding of cost control measures and ability to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive the purchasing process, from identifying procurement needs to supporting supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management by ensuring that purchases are made efficiently and in accordance with organizational guidelines.
• Participate in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conducting due diligence, and supporting the negotiation terms to secure cost-effective and high-quality purchases.
• Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and collaborating on improvements to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain.
• Ensure that all purchasing activities adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies, maintaining accurate and organized records.
• Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of quality control standards in purchasing processes, conducting inspections, and performance assessments.
• Support the management of the procurement budget, allocate resources efficiently, and seek cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
• Participate in implementing sourcing strategies, identifying opportunities for supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation.
• Leverage technology solutions, such as procurement software and analytics, to enhance purchasing processes, monitoring, and reporting.
• Other relevant responsibilities as assigned by management.
