Job summary

PPG Industries in California seeks a Process Engineering Leader to own scale-up and development of aerospace coatings, sealants, and adhesives processes. You will lead a global matrix team, drive NPI launches, and ensure robust design for manufacturability.

Based in CA and reporting to the Aerospace Materials Global Technical Director, you will optimize manufacturing transitions, implement DFMEA/PFMEA controls, and lead Six Sigma projects to deliver efficiency and quality improvements across

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical/Process/Materials Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in chemical/process engineering with coatings knowledge.
• Experience with Six Sigma and process improvements.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across regions.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Scale-up and develop processes for new aerospace coatings, sealants and adhesives.
• Support NPIs into manufacturing plants and ensure launches.
• Bridge NPD and manufacturing across regions; lead cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate new process equipment and technologies; introduce into plants.
• Lead Six Sigma projects to resolve complex issues.
• Establish standard work and best practices across global sites.
• Collaborate with product development to ensure DFM and risk mitigation.
• Provide direction to a global matrix team, including US NPI oversight.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S policies and customer requirements.
