Job summary

Valcor Engineering Corp. is seeking a Jr. Planner/Buyer to assist in planning and purchasing, analyze inventory data, prepare POs, track deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers.

The role supports production needs and maintains stock levels while enabling cost-effective procurement decisions. It requires working with MRP/ERP systems to release work orders and generate material requisitions for manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year experience in a fast-paced precision production environment preferred.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Route and expedite raw materials, components, and documents to ensure uninterrupted project flow.
• Revise and reschedule orders to meet team priorities as directed by Planner or Project Manager.
• Prepare reports tracking material movements for Project Manager and Planners.
• Coordinate with area owners to provide timely actions supporting deliverables.
• Prioritize schedules to avoid delays and keep high-priority jobs moving.
• Report production issues to the project team and planner as required.
• Update jobs due to scrap and engineering revisions to maintain current configurations.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
