Job summary

Astranis in Northern California, USA, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for Payload/GNC/Electro-mechanical to lead flight hardware procurement, build supplier relationships, and optimize sourcing costs, lead times, and performance across the company.

You will own vendor evaluation, contract execution, NDAs, SOWs, and master agreements, collaborate with design, engineering, finance, and production, and travel about 15–20% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related discipline (or comparable experience).
• Minimum of 3+ years in software procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or related supply chain disciplines.
• Experience negotiating high-value hardware contracts.
• Excellent communication skills and track record of managing strategic external relationships.
• Strong experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and executive reporting.
• Incredibly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple contracts and vendor relationships with exceptional organization.

Responsibilities

• Manages all stages of procurement for strategic flight hardware from vendor evaluation through post-launch support.
• Oversees sourcing strategy for electro-mechanical products across payload, antenna, mechanical, and GNC assemblies.
• Lead commercial negotiations and finalize vendor contracts; manage NDAs, SOWs, Supply Agreements, and Master Purchase Agreements.
• Negotiate and document terms for statements of work and other commercial contracts before engagement.
• Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that align with business objectives and build long-term vendor relationships.
• Place purchase orders for medium to high value components.
• Evaluate suppliers based on commercial and technical performance balancing cost and value.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, finance, program management and production; travel 15-20% as needed.
