Job summary

Sun Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 for an on-site, up-to-12-month contract in Hanover, Maryland. Pay ranges from $25–$31 per hour, with benefits including medical insurance, a 401(k) plan, and sick leave in compliance with laws.

The role involves aerospace panel assembly, using drawings and process specs to fabricate flight hardware with tight tolerances. Expect collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Program teams to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ honeycomb panel fabrication or aerospace mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Experience with hand tools and solid math/geometry skills.
• Read and follow written manufacturing instructions and procedures.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with safety as a priority.
• Willing to work flexible schedules to meet delivery dates.

Responsibilities

• Performs functions related to manufacturing operations, including set‑up, calibration, rework and quality testing.
• Operates data collection programs to evaluate processes and conduct on‑line adjustments.
• Collaborates with engineers to develop methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes.
