Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California near LAX, has a Paint Shop opening for an experienced painter. Responsibilities include masking, sanding, priming and applying protective coatings to aerospace components, with adherence to engineering drawings and safety standards.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of painting experience (aerospace preferred) and be able to read blueprints, comply with OSHA/ITAR requirements, and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience as a painter (Aerospace preferred) or automotive exp.
• Experience in masking components/parts.
• Experience in sanding paint/primer/metals.
• Experience painting metals required.
• Automated paint experience is a plus.
• Ability to work overtime as needed by business.
• Read/write/speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Coat surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials per drawings and documentation.
• Mask, sand, and prepare components for paint application.
• Comply with paint shop standards and safety policies.
• May monitor and verify quality per process specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Possess respirator certification via Pulmonary Function Test.
