Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California near LAX, is seeking a painter for aerospace applications. This 100% onsite role involves coating surfaces, masking components, and ensuring compliance with OSHA/ITAR requirements.

Base salary range is shown, and the team operates within a manufacturing environment supporting DoD programs. Required: High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years painting experience (aerospace preferred), ability to read blueprints, and proficient English.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a painter (Aerospace preferred).
• Experience in masking components/parts is required.
• Experience in sanding paint/primer/metals is required.
• Experience painting metals is required.
• Experience painting aircraft parts is preferred.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Read/write/speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Coat surfaces of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials using a spray gun in accordance with part drawing specifications and engineering documentation.
• Mask, sand, and prepare components for paint application.
• Comply with paint shop standard practices.
• May monitor and verify quality per process specifications.
• Ability to match or detect differences in colors (shades and brightness).
• Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use PPE; protect components.
• Read and comply with OSHA/ITAR regulatory requirements.
• Care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test for respirator certification.
• Use tools, equipment, and materials in the aircraft painting process.
• Other duties as assigned.
