PSE Group in California is seeking a Paint/Color Mixer for our warehouse operations, focusing on matching, mixing, and preparing paints for Aerospace General Aviation customers. The role requires prior paint mixing experience and a strong commitment to color precision and documentation.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to distinguish subtle color variations, and dedicated to safe, efficient performance in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Develop color samples using aerospace products.
• Maintain documentation of formulas and samples.
• Resolve finish problems with product knowledge.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service.
• Prepare paint orders using standard and custom formulas.
• Calibrate and clean mixing equipment.
• Maintain professional conduct and meet quality expectations.
• Maintain Color Room records and inventory transfers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and matching color samples or shades using aerospace products.
• Manage and maintain documentation of formulas, a standard set of samples, and coordinated materials to assure quality and color accuracy.
• Resolve finish problems along with demonstrated product knowledge.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
• Prepare paint orders, including mixing, utilizing standard formulas and custom formulas.
• Clean and maintain all areas and equipment as assigned. Ensure calibration of mixing equipment as needed.
• Conduct self in professional manner to ensure customers’ quality and service expectations are met.
• Perform paint mixing and/or shading with utmost care to ensure minimum mis-tints.
• Maintain Color Room records including non-conformance report, tint usage, can usage, mis-tints, etc. and perform necessary inventory transfers.
