Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Paint and Coating Operator for the 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM). Primary duties include operating Vector and Dye Point machines to meet customer requirements, inspecting components, and completing daily production reports. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 35–40 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution preferred.
• U.S. work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• This position is subject to ITAR; U.S. person status required.
• Entry-level with attention to detail and good communication; prior manufacturing or machinery background preferred; experience with measuring tools and reading blueprints is a plus.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting 35-40 lbs, pushing/pulling totes.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Vector and Dye Point machines to meet customer requirements.
• Demonstrate solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Lift/move up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Assist with inspecting components to meet specifications.
• Prepare daily production reports and forms.
• Assist other operators with processing activities and parts movement between locations.
• Adhere to EH&S, quality, and other company policies.
• Attention to detail and ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
