Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Orbital Tube Welder (Falcon) to operate the orbital welding system, read blueprints, and prepare tubing for aerospace production. The role emphasizes setup, calibration, and inspection of welded assemblies in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred candidates have an A&P license, formal orbital welding training, and extensive welding experience in aerospace manufacturing; shifts include nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1+ year welding, machining or manufacturing experience or a certificate from an accredited trade skills program in A&P, welding, manufacturing and/or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to set up and operate the orbital welding system.
• Work from blueprints and approved drawings; cut and prepare tubing and fittings.
• Set up welding system and assemble/calibrate liquid controllers.
• Inspect assemblies using borescope inspection system; maintain spare parts inventory.
• Maintain clean work area and keep work records.
