Applied Composites Inc. in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing, supply chain and quality across the plant, driving continual process and product improvement and ensuring product integrity.

As a member of the Senior Leadership team, you will be the primary operations liaison with customers. You will oversee Quality, Fabrication, Assembly, Facilities/Maintenance, Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse and Logistics; implement Lean and Six Sigma; manage a high-performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/manufacturing or technical field
• 10-15 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibilities including supervision and management experience
• Six Sigma and/or Lean Certified
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and automated scheduling tools

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all Operations functions including Quality, Fabrication, Assembly, Facilities/Maintenance, Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse and Logistics
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, EH&S, Customer Service/Contracts, Design Engineering, CI and R&D
• Provide advice and counsel on operational issues to President and Senior Staff
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce cost, improve cycle times and quality
• Lead operations team and develop a high‑performance work team
• Control and improve operational costs and WIP inventory
• Develop global partnerships to improve costs and capabilities
• Ensure compliance with regulations and corporate policies
• Oversee SIOP process and integration between sales and operations
