Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Aerospace Operating System Site Leader to drive the development and deployment of the AOS across the site and potentially multiple sites. You will align leadership teams, coordinate improvement initiatives, and embed Lean and Agile methods to foster continuous improvement.

The role requires extensive experience in Lean, OS, and project leadership, with the ability to travel for training or project support.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years applying Lean Manufacturing and OS principles and tools.
  • 8+ years of project management across strategic and tactical change.
  • Business fluent in local language and English.
  • Experience influencing and communicating with frontline staff, site leadership and executives, including cross-functional initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel to other locations for training or project support (limited).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, prioritizes & organizes improvement events and AOS courses to create value for the unit.
  • Manages or leads strategic and operational business challenges.
  • Fosters a continuous improvement mindset with Lean and Agile tools.

  • Drives and manages AOS qualifications of employees.
  • Active member of the global company-wide AOS community.
  • Collaborates with the AOS office to execute the AOS strategy.

Job description

As an Aerospace Operating System Site Leader here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be a critical leader in the development and site-wide deployment for the Aerospace Operating System (AOS), driving the transformation of operational performance across the site or multi sites.

This role is also responsible for driving the expansion, adoption, and execution of the Aerospace Operating System (AOS). The AOS Leader aligns leadership teams, coordinates improvement initiatives, embeds Lean and Agile methodologies, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates, prioritizes & organizes improvement events and AOS courses to create value for the unit
  • Manages or leads relevant, strategic & operational business challenges
  • Fosters a continuous improvement mindset with respective methods and tools
  • Supports and/or orchestrates the Hoshin Kanri process for the site
  • Supports and/or orchestrates productivity generation activities
  • Coaches peers & key managers inside the unit on the promotion & use of AOS
  • Acts as a thought leader for an Agile & Lean mindset
  • Advances AOS through sharing of success stories & recognition of stakeholders
  • Orchestrates, coaches & leads AOS community & key enablers
  • Drives, motivates & manages AOS qualifications of employees
  • Active member of the global, companywide AOS community
  • Collaborate with the AOS office to execute the AOS strategy
Qualifications

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 8+ years of practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Operating Systems principles and tools
  • 8+ years of project management experience gained through both strategic and tactic change projects
  • Business fluent in local language and English
  • Experience influencing and communicating effectively with frontline employees, site leadership, and senior executives, including leading cross-functional initiatives and presenting business outcomes to leadership teams.
  • Ability to travel to other locations for training or project support (limited)
WE VALUE
  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master of Business Administration is a plus
  • Experience in various areas of operations is strongly preferred, i.e. production, planning, procurement, logistics or similar
  • Successful track record in leading without formal authority
  • Proven experiences in driving results & coaching teams/peers across departments
  • Experience in developing and sustaining networks / communities
  • Leadership qualities & experience in motivating and developing diverse teams
  • 8 Yearsof Practical experience facilitating improvement events
  • Ability to Inspire & lead without authority

The annual base salary range for this position is $188,000 - $235,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
