Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in West Springfield, MA is seeking personnel for penetrant inspection roles. You will set up penetrant systems, apply penetrant to aerospace parts, and evaluate results to determine pass/fail per aerospace OEM specifications.

Training is provided; no prior experience required. A can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential. Manufacturing experience is a plus, with benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of penetrant testing per Type I, Method A, form d system.
• Ability to evaluate in-use penetrant and developer.
• Capable of determining accept/reject per aerospace OEM specs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and standardize penetrant black lights and defect standards.
• Apply penetrant to aerospace parts per specifications and manage dwell times.
• Control developer dwell times and perform evaluations per OEM specs.
• Determine acceptability of aerospace parts per OEM specs.
• Familiarity with other departments in aerospace processing facility.
