Job summary

Chromalloy Corporation is seeking an NDT CR/FPI Technician to perform non-destructive testing on aerospace components using Computed Radiography and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection. You will follow approved procedures, validate equipment performance, and ensure compliance with engineering drawings and customer criteria.

The role supports aviation safety and reliability across global operations. The position requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of aerospace or related experience,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of aerospace/manufacturing/quality inspection/NDT experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience with quality systems, inspection docs, and traceability.
• Ability to obtain NAS 410 certifications.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform CR and FPI inspections on aerospace components.
• Set up and operate radiographic and penetrant inspection equipment per procedures.
• Verify calibration, performance, and inspection parameters prior to use.
• Inspect for internal/surface discontinuities including cracks and porosity.
• Evaluate results against drawings, specs, and customer criteria.
• Record, evaluate, and report inspection findings and data.
• Identify and segregate nonconforming hardware per procedures.
• Maintain inspection records, images, and traceability docs.
• Assist troubleshooting inspection equipment and data quality issues.
• Follow safety, quality procedures and standard work.
