Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Corporation in New York is seeking an NC Milling Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will set up and operate NC milling machines to ensure precision machining of aerospace components while maintaining high-quality standards.

The role requires experience with NC milling setups, blueprint interpretation, and use of CNC controls (840D/Fanuc). A technical schooling diploma in machining is preferred; safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting up and operating NC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection gauges.
• Basic computer skills are a plus.
• Must read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate NC milling machines.
• Run two machines simultaneously when cycle times allow.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specs, and NC instructions.
• Use 840D and Fanuc controls for programming/adjustments.
• Perform inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Input data into machines and supervise labor entries.
• Maintain safety and compliance.
• Stand for 8 hours per shift.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
