Job summary

Joby Aviation seeks a Liaison Engineer for the MRB Engineering team to disposition non-conformances and ensure airworthiness of materials and components, collaborating with cross-functional groups. The role requires hands-on aerospace experience and CAD proficiency in CATIA V5/V6.

The ideal candidate will support FAA type and production certifications, contribute to structural analyses, and travel domestically as needed, with a compensation plan including base pay plus RSUs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or another relevant discipline.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in aircraft manufacturing or repair depot (including internships/co-ops).
• Experience with CATIA V5/V6 or similar CAD program.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Highly proactive with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to travel domestically (25% or less).

Responsibilities

• Select methods, techniques, and criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
• Write dispositions to restore airworthiness with clear requirements.
• Produce structural substantiation reports for NCR disposition.
• Monitor trends of discrepancies and support corrective actions.
• Communicate with quality, inspection, manufacturing engineers, and M&P.
