Job summary

Zel Technologies is seeking skilled Aerospace Engineers with modeling and simulation experience to support NASIC, DoD, and national level intelligence efforts. You will work in a team focused on developing and integrating simulation architectures and validating threat models.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance, hold a degree in engineering/science/math, and have several years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience creating digital aerodynamic models.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and World Simulation Framework.
• Experience with component-based architectures and native models/plugins in an AFSIM context.
• Knowledge of classification handling and marking protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining TMAP models across multiple simulation frameworks.
• Perform M&S tasks using NGTS, ITASE, MATLAB, SIMULINK and AFSIM.
• Conduct technical analysis, validation, and verification testing; draft TVVR reports.
• Create Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow TMAP threat weapon models from templates.
• Enhance and maintain M&S processes by integrating sensor, comms, aerodynamics, and propulsion data.
• Analyze large data sources, threat indicators, and inputs; ensure model performance.

Job Summary

Zel Technologies is looking for skilled, creative, and knowledgeable Aerospace Engineers with experience in modeling and simulation (M&S). These individuals will be working as part of a team performing scientific and technical intelligence analysis supporting NASIC, DoD and National Level intelligence efforts supporting simulation architectures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and maintenance of Threat Modeling and Analysis Program (TMAP) models capable of operating across multiple simulation frameworks.
• Perform modeling and simulation tasks with NGTS, ITASE, MATLAB, SIMULINK and AFSIM.
• Conduct technical analysis of system capabilities including intelligence document review, validation and verification testing, model integration, and drafting Threat Verification and Validation Reports (TVVR).
• Create Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow TMAP threat weapon models from existing templates and similar models using NASIC’s modeling environment and associated in-house tools.
• Determine the best approach for enhancing and maintaining M&S processes, workflows, and tools by integrating systems and performance drivers such as sensor, communications, airframe aerodynamics, mass property estimates, and propulsion data.
• Conduct data analysis and orchestration of a large volume of data sources, threat indicators, and inputs.
• Validate model performance against assessed weapon performance data using Threat Verification and Validation Reports (TVVR) that capture model assumptions, characterization, and performance.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have an active Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics and 5 or more years relevant experience.
• Experience creating digital aerodynamic models.
• Deep understanding with using MATLAB/Simulink, and World Simulation Framework.
• Expertise and experience with component-based architectures.
• Expertise and experience using native models, plugins, extensions, command syntax, and scripting in an AFSIM context.
• Expertise and experience with Application, Scenario, and Simulations.
• Experience with other mission-level simulation frameworks.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience working with classification handling and marking protocols.
• Ability to assess the accuracy and effectiveness of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Must possess and exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Successful background and drug screening check.

Preferred Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics and 8 or more years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience performing scientific and technical analysis along with M&S operation and maintenance support for air launched threat weapon systems.
