Impulse Space is seeking a Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) Manufacturing Engineer in Redondo Beach, CA. The role involves developing and manufacturing state-of-the-art soft goods for spacecraft and vehicles. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and significant hands-on manufacturing experience.

As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for developing processes, generating standards, and collaborating with technicians to ensure high-quality production. The position offers a salary range of $135,000 - $185,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
• 5+ years of direct hands-on manufacturing experience required.
• 2+ years of experience with MLI's and soft goods in a production environment necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes for MLI’s and spacecraft textiles.
• Own process development and integration for both flight and development hardware.
• Generate manufacturing standards and work instructions.
