Job summary

Composite Factory in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II focused on metrology and GD&T to ensure parts meet customer specs and aerospace standards. The role uses PCMM scanning, Romer arms, and standard metrology equipment to inspect carbon fiber components and capture detailed data.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 4+ years in inspection, with strong documentation, problem‑solving, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of industry experience and in a similar role.
• Must have the ability, experience, and skills to contribute to formal problem-solving activities.
• Thorough knowledge of composite materials related manufacturing equipment and processes a plus.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be well organized and multitask.
• Attention to detail and good documentation practices.
• Self-starter, results-oriented and able to organize and analyze data.
• Proficient with MS Office products; inspection software knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of basic math and computer skills important for measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications.
• Must understand blueprints, GD&T, technical documents, and manuals.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident per ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Inspect carbon fiber components for mechanical/dimensional accuracy.
• Perform general and precise inspections using PCMM and Romer arms.
• Document nonconformances via NCR process and drive timely disposition.
• Capture metrology data and ensure traceability with records and reports.
• Develop knowledge of the company ERP system and process incoming RMAs.
• Communicate issues to Quality Control Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
