Job summary

Votaw Precision Technologies, LLC in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Digital Data Inspector to perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of flight hardware, including machined parts, weldments, and assemblies.

You will document inspection results, generate certification packages, and review build data while utilizing CMMs, Faro/Romer arms, and laser trackers. A strong aerospace QA background and ability to read complex drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Aerospace Quality Assurance.
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Read engineering documentation and inspect to drawings and parts lists.
• Ability to relate to officials, staff, and public in a courteous manner.
• Willingness to work overtime; 2nd or 3rd shift activities are required.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and able to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Document inspection, prepare first article documentation and certification packages.
• Perform in-process and final inspections and review build data packages.
• Generate nonconformance reports for discrepancies found during inspection.
• Inspect using conventional inspection tools.
• Interpret aerospace drawings and specifications.
• Operate CMMs and inspection devices (Verisurf, Faro, Romer, Leica).
