Job summary

GE Aerospace in Loves Park, Illinois is seeking a Lead Mechanical Test Engineer for an onsite, full-time role. You will lead the design, analysis, development, and testing of electromechanical and pneumatic aerospace components, across bid, maturation, NPI, production, and test phases.

The position requires a strong engineering background, leadership skills, and collaboration with an Integrated Product Team to solve complex problems while meeting cost and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with professional experience
• Experience in electromechanical or pneumatic systems preferred
• Knowledge of aerospace development processes and quality standards (AS9100) beneficial

Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, development, and testing of aerospace electromechanical and pneumatic products such as bleed air valves and actuators
• Drive technical execution across bid/proposal, technology maturation, NPI, production, and test
• Provide technical leadership within an Integrated Product Team and guide other engineers
• Ensure designs meet performance, quality, cost, and schedule targets across multiple phases
