Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a Quality Control Technician - Mechanical in Valencia, Spain. You will perform visual and mechanical inspections of mechanical, electronic, and COTS parts, update ERP/MES, report NCs, and support RCA across production and supply chain.

You’ll work with AIT, Production and Quality teams to prevent defects and ensure space-grade standards. The role requires a degree in mechanics/quality control, 2+ years in aerospace/high-reliability QC, and hands-on use of

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanics, quality control, manufacturing, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control within aerospace/defense/high-reliability environments; hands-on inspection of mechanical parts.
• Use of inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, torque tools).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and inspection plans.
• Awareness of manufacturing and assembly processes; knowledge of measurement principles and calibration requirements.
• Conversational level English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and mechanical inspections on mechanical, composite and electronic parts per inspection plans.
• Update material status in ERP/MES based on results.
• Report non-conformances and support root cause analysis; help implement corrective actions.
• Prepare timely reports on outstanding issues related to inspected parts/subsystems.
• Review inspection sheets and control plans; maintain quarantine and scrap procedures.
• Ensure inspection tools/equipment are calibrated and maintained.
• Monitor safety/quality in production, storage and lab areas.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
