Job summary

StandardAero is seeking an engineer with aircraft MRO experience to contribute to design and analysis tasks within a collaborative team environment. You will prepare documentation, perform calculations, and release CAD drawings to support manufacturability and reliability in mechanical components.

The role emphasizes planning, multi-project management, and effective communication with suppliers and internal teams. Proficiency in MS Office and CAD tools is required, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in an aircraft MRO environment or equivalent.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance and interior standard practices.
• Ability to justify decisions and involve appropriate stakeholders.
• Able to handle multiple projects and aggressive schedules.
• Proactive in foreseeing issues and addressing them.
• Strong organization and planning capabilities.
• Capable of independent work or working in a team to solve problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word); AutoCAD familiarity preferred.
• Able to enter aircraft unassisted and perform interior evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a team member in a phase of a broad engineering assignment.
• Prepares documentation for assigned projects.
• Ensures completion of the project phase within budgeted time and cost.
• Participates in defining engineering approaches and in planning and scheduling work.
• Designs mechanical components and assemblies with manufacturability, reliability and maintainability.
• Performs calculations to determine size/strength; solves design problems.
• Prepares, modifies and releases CAD drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for fit/function.
• Evaluates materials and parts and communicates with suppliers.
• Works with cross-functional teams and participates in design reviews.
• Develops bills of materials and costing content for proposals.
• Writes and oversees technical content of proposals.
• Performs other related duties as required.
