Job summary

The Advanced Manufacturing Company of America (Amca) is seeking a Mechanical Build Engineer to own the build procedures for qualification hardware, driving reliable production builds across our factories. You will perform hands-on R&D for new build methods, collaborate with design, manage DFM changes, develop tooling, and lead capital equipment upgrades to support next-generation aerospace components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering or engineering physics.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, design, test, or development.

Responsibilities

• Develop build methodology from industry standards and conduct R&D to improve our manufacturing processes.
• Oversee the assembly and manufacturing procedures for both new and existing hardware.
• Act as the extreme owner of DFM changes to part drawings to eliminate repeat failures.
• Conduct development campaigns and write specifications on manufacturing best practices.
