Job summary

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Engineering Technician in San Jose, CA. The role involves reading engineering drawings and FAA guidelines to assemble complex subsystems, installing flight control linkages, actuators, and landing gear, and performing functional checks.

Work with engineering and quality teams to optimize processes, ensure safety standards, and document all testing and repairs on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certification in engineering technology.
• 5+ years aerospace/aviation experience.
• NPD experience in aerospace/aviation.
• Ability to read schematics and FAA guidelines.
• A&P certification or equivalent considered a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and structural sub-systems using drawings and torque specs.
• Install and align flight control linkages, actuators, and landing gear.
• Perform functional checks and record build data.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality inspectors to improve processes.
• Maintain documentation for testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
