Job summary

Woodward is a leading designer of motion control systems powering commercial and military aircraft worldwide. The Mechanical Assembler reports to the manufacturing supervisor and works on the 2nd shift (4:00pm–12:30am) with a 10% shift differential; training on the 1st shift for two weeks (8:00am–4:30pm).

You will assemble, install, align, and fit subassemblies using appropriate tools, follow work instructions, and complete QA paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to use a variety of basic hand tools.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail orientation and ability to follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and preset calibration/testing of products; low to moderately complex assembly and test.
• Assemble, install, align, adjust and fit subassemblies and parts per work instructions.
• Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment per work instructions.
• Follow work instructions to become certified for work performed.
• Work with close tolerances to meet requirements.
• Complete required QA and Test Records paperwork.
