Job summary

Castelion is seeking a motivated Materials Engineer - Chemist to develop and scale a proprietary wet chemistry process for aerospace materials. This role blends hands-on lab work with process development and supports transitioning lab-scale chemistry to larger manufacturing systems.

You will execute multi-step syntheses, characterize products, design SOPs, and help ensure manufacturing readiness while troubleshooting and optimizing processes in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry or related field.
• 1+ years of wet chemistry synthesis experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor multi-step wet chemistry synthesis processes.
• Design experiments to optimize reaction conditions and yields.
• Characterize intermediates and products using standard analytical techniques.
• Collect and analyze process data to support optimization.
• Develop procedures and batch records for manufacturing transfer.
• Troubleshoot issues in development to enable scale-up.
