Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Mass Properties Engineer II in Vandalia, OH to join our aerospace team. You will perform mass properties calculations, build and maintain models, test and validate components, and generate weight and balance documentation for flight-worthy systems.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering with at least two years of relevant experience; a master’s degree can substitute for experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed mass properties calculations and analyses for aerospace components and systems.
• Develop and maintain mass properties models and databases.
• Conduct and oversee mass properties testing and validation.
• Inventory and weigh aircraft.
• Generate aircraft weight and balance paperwork.
• Collaborate with design and analysis teams to incorporate mass properties data into project workflows.
