Job summary

Center Industries Company Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking an Aerospace Manufacturing Planner to develop, implement, and maintain detailed manufacturing plans, BOMs, and build sequences for aircraft components.

You will translate blueprints into operable routing sheets and ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards. You will collaborate across engineering, procurement, quality, and shop-floor teams, manage ECNs, and ensure traceability of hardware through MRP/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 3 years planning experience preferred in aerospace/aircraft machine shop
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient with CATIA V5

Responsibilities

• Translate complex engineering blueprints, models, and specifications into manufacturing operations and routing sheets.
• Maintain configuration management over hardware build plans to ensure traceability and compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100).
• Create and update manufacturing BOMs and define tooling/equipment needs within MRP/ERP systems.
• Link engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and shop-floor to resolve producibility issues and streamline workflow.
• Review ECNs and update build plans to reflect changes.

Job Details: Job Location: Center Industries Company Legal Address - Wichita, KS, Salary Range: $30.00 - $35.00Hourly, Aerospace Manufacturing Planner

Shift- 1st 7am - 3:30pm

Starting Salary Range- $30 - $35 per hour with three scheduled increases the first year.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining detailed manufacturing plans, build sequences, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure aircraft and aerospace components are built efficiently, cost-effectively, and in strict compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities:

• Process Planning & Documentation: Translates complex engineering blueprints, models, and technical specifications into step-by-step manufacturing operations, visual work instructions, and routing sheets.
• Configuration & Quality Control: Maintains rigorous configuration management over hardware build plans, ensuring full traceability and compliance with quality clauses and aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100).
• Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Creates and updates manufacturing BOMs and defines tooling or specialized equipment requirements within MRP/ERP systems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acts as a vital link between engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and shop-floor production teams to resolve producibility issues and streamline workflow.
• Change Incorporation: Reviews engineering change notices (ECNs), evaluates existing production routers, and updates build plans to reflect design or process modifications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:

• 3 years prior planning experience preferred in aerospace/aircraft machine shop
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient with CATIA V5
