Job summary

Florida Turbine Technologies (FTT) in Jupiter, Florida, part of Kratos Defense, is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Engineer focused on supplier management for electrical controllers, pumps, and valves. You will ensure quality, reliability, efficiency, delivery, and cost of components in aerospace systems.

Required: BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing ops with mechanical systems. Travel may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess potential suppliers for electrical controllers, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to meet standards and performance metrics.
• Foster relationships with suppliers to enable effective communication and collaboration.
• Collaborate with design, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and implement quality control processes for mechanical systems.
• Establish inspection protocols to ensure aerospace standards compliance.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements in manufacturing and supply chain.
• Adhere to SOPs and provide feedback for improvements.
• Identify supply chain risks and mitigate disruptions with contingency plans.
• Stay current on industry advancements related to mechanical systems.
• Support decision-making and troubleshooting with technical expertise.
