Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering in Riverton, CT to lead a high-mix, low-volume aerospace manufacturing team. You will own the roadmap for process capability, NPI, and capital equipment while supporting shop-floor problem solving.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in aerospace or precision machining with 3+ years in leadership, strong CNC, GD&T, Lean/Six Sigma, and AS9100/ERP experience. This role reports to the Plant Manager and offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in aerospace or precision machining with 3+ years in leadership.
• Expertise in CNC machining, GD&T, tooling, and process development.
• Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Experience with AS9100 quality systems and ERP/MRP platforms.
• U.S. Person under ITAR; able to communicate across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Manufacturing Engineers and technicians toward best-in-class performance
• Champion Lean/Six Sigma projects that raise productivity, reduce cost, and improve safety
• Drive process design and validation for new product launches and engineering changes
• Manage capital equipment projects from business case through installation and PPAP
• Analyze production data, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and all customer/regulatory requirements
