Job summary

Adecco is partnering with a Hartford County aerospace manufacturer to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer who will support production operations, process improvements, tooling, and optimization initiatives. You will work with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain to boost efficiency and reduce waste, while enabling new product introductions.

The ideal candidate has aerospace/defense or precision manufacturing experience and thrives in a hands-on production environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing engineering in aerospace/defense/precision environments.
  • Experience with machining, assembly, fabrication, composites, or electromechanical processes.
  • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and regulated environments.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, routers, manufacturing documentation, and process flows.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability of new and existing products.
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and process improvements to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Analyze production issues and drive corrective actions to reduce scrap, rework, and downtime.
  • Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with process validation, capability studies, and production readiness activities.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to support manufacturing execution.
  • Work closely with Quality to ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and production transition activities.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Production teams to resolve manufacturing constraints and material flow issues.
