Zipline, based at the South San Francisco manufacturing facility, seeks an entry- to early-career mechanical engineer to turn electro-mechanical concepts into safe, repeatable production processes.

You’ll work with manufacturing engineers and technicians on final assembly and feeder sub-assemblies, taking ownership of scoped tasks with guidance to deliver improvements while upholding aerospace safety and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Hands-on internships or projects demonstrating contribution.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience with 3D CAD and basic statistics.

Responsabilités

• Turn assembly ideas into pilot builds and production improvements.
• Design fixtures, gauges, tooling, and workstations with guidance.
• Test decisions with PFMEAs, control plans, capability studies.
• Use production data to improve safety, quality, yield, throughput.
• Investigate production issues and verify corrective actions.
• Write work instructions and train technicians.
