Job summary

Bascom Hunter in the United States seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, scale, and optimize electronics manufacturing from prototype to full-rate production, aligning design, production, and supply chain.

You will drive DFM, define build sequences and inspections, perform FAI and capability studies, address root causes, and work with suppliers to improve cost and delivery. This role emphasizes AS9100 compliance and cross-functional collaboration, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in manufacturing engineering or production with electronics.
• Able to read/interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with FAI and process validation.

Responsibilities

• Define build sequences, MBOMs, inspection plans, tooling, fixturing, and work instructions.
• Drive DFM/DFA with design engineering to improve producibility and tolerancing.
• Support sheet metal, machined parts, cables, and wire harness assemblies.
• Plan First Article Inspections (FAI) and process qualifications.
• Assist root cause analysis for nonconformances and NCRs.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to meet goals.
• Ensure AS9100D and customer specs compliance.
