Job summary

Hexcel is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III for its Kent, WA site. The role provides production support during new program introductions and continuous improvement, interpreting drawings and specs, and managing BOM changes and tooling plans.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering, 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, Six Sigma certification, and strong CAD/Microsoft Office skills. This position supports safety programs and capital projects at a global leader in composites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Six Sigma experience and certification strongly preferred.
  • Solid ability to define problems, interpret technical instructions, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Provide production support through new program introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, processes and procedures; update BOM changes and tooling plans.
  • Lead capex/capital projects and contribute to problem-solving through root-cause analysis.
  • Coordinate manufacturing plans with design and shop floor personnel to meet customer requirements.
  • Support safety, environmental programs and Six Sigma belt candidates.
