RTX seeks a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op in Louisville, KY to drive Lean Six Sigma improvements on the shop floor. The role emphasizes data analytics, dashboards, and digital solutions to boost throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.

Applicants should be pursuing a STEM degree with CAD experience and Lean/Six Sigma exposure. You will collaborate across Operations, Quality, and Production Control, participating in CI events and capacity planning while ensuring safety compliance and sustainable

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for layout or fixture design.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Applies Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste in shop floor processes.
• Collects, analyzes, and visualizes production data to uncover trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in throughput, turnaround time, and quality.
• Develops and implements digital solutions, such as dashboards and automated reports, improving real-time visibility.
• Supports the design and optimization of workcell layouts, material flow, and standard work to increase efficiency.
• Tracks project progress and KPIs, presenting findings to engineering and operations leadership.
